hi all,
i am new to virtualization.
here is my question:
i have an up to date debian wheezy as the host os.
i downloaded the most recent .iso for wheezy netinst for the
guest os. so i am running wheezy on wheezy.
defaults for everything.
===
the problem is that the installer comes up with the menu,
but even with the keyboard captured, the keyboard and mouse do not
work. any idea why?
also, there is a dialog box that tells me there is no audio.
and one that says please set guest to 32 bit video.
===
i am running the standard version of virtualbox that comes
with wheezy. i am not using the backports version because i
don't know if it is updated for security.
i realize this is probably old by the standards of people on this
list, but i'd rather use it if possible.
virtualbox | 4.3.10-dfsg-1~bpo70+1 | wheezy-backports/contrib
virtualbox | 4.1.18-dfsg-2+deb7u3 | wheezy-security
virtualbox | 4.1.18-dfsg-2+deb7u3 | wheezy
thanks.
