I'm running 4.3.16 on a Windows 7 host but when I "Check for updates..."
from the VB GUI it says "You are already running the latest version of
VirtualBox."

I don't know why, but the update check always takes a couples of days
before notify a update =)

Hi Phil,
I don't have a VBox running (at the moment), but I think in the menu there is an option, to get updates weekly, daily, etc.
I don't have a VBox running (to look at), The main-menu drop-down which offers to set your preferences ...
I use the portable-vbox (http://www.vbox.me/), I am on a public-computer, it needs admin privileges to run ...

I thinking the "check-box" to ... download updates was not checked ... in "your" VirtualBox ...preferences...

I thinking the "check-box" to ... download updates was not checked ...
in "your" VirtualBox ...preferences...
The "Check for Updates" box was checked, and "Once per: 1 day" selected.
The radio button was on for "Stable Release Versions". I already loaded
the latest version manually and it is running, but changed the radio
button to "All New Releases". Will have to wait for the next update to
see if that was the issue.
