need a version of vbox for ubuntu oneiric

Hello,

I've had a version of vbox running for awhile, I just use ot to run
windows when required. I just did so. Up popped a message that told me
to download a new version, I did so, dpkg complained that the new
version conflicted with the old version, I removed the old version, the
new version will not install, I cannot resinstall the old version.


What can I do ... ubuntu 11.10. Thanks.

I'd recommend upgrading the OS as per the instructions given.

I'm guessing that 11.10 is not a LTS (long term support) version, and
therefore it is not supported.
